ACMIT Extension University Honorary Doctorate

ACMIT Extension University Honorary Doctorate degree recognizes those who have made profound and enduring contributions to the society, and improved quality of life in society at large. Achievements of national or international significance deserve priority consideration. It is important that recipients be persons of great integrity, as the choices we make reflect our values as an institution.

Recipients of Honorary Doctorate Degrees do not earn the degree through academic achievements; rather they receive these awards based on generous and altruistic actions or lifetime accomplishments that benefit a community, nation, or humanity in general.

Process for Nominations

Nominations for candidates may come from a variety of sources, including distinguished philanthropists, academicians, scholars, politicians, authors, scientists, and etc. Candidates must fill out the application form with relevant information and submit. ACMIT Extension University Honorary Doctorate Committee will assess your application and will request you to further submit a summary of your accomplishments and reason for considering you for an honorary degree.

Review, Selection and Notification

The special committee on honorary degrees will screen nominations and recommend, with supporting rationale, to the President of ACMIT Extension University. The President will select the nominations to present to the ACMIT Extension University Board.

Only the ACMIT Extension University Board is authorized to award honorary degrees.

Confidentiality

Every effort will be made to ensure that individual nominations and discussions of nominees be confidential throughout the process. No publicity shall be issued regarding the nominees until final approval by board of ACMIT Extension University.
